When famous but friendless comedian George Simmons discovers he maybe dying he decides to put right some of his wrongs and with his new assistant, the struggling comedian Ira, he begins his dysfunctional journey of redemption. There are some funny moments (Bana and Schwartzman do nicely) but Judd Apatow's latest directorial effort is as much a drama as it is a comedy and while still entertaining it isn't hugely successful at either genre. find out more...
