This fast-paced and beautifully constructed film debut by Mexican director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu has won critical acclaim all over the world. Weaving the stories of the three victims of a brutal car crash which we witness in the first scene, the film takes you through three very separate worlds that all come together on Mexico's mean streets. From the world of a high-class supermodel to the depths of despair felt by an exiled ex-assassin, Amores Perros is a real achievement in filmmaking. find out more...

Superbly written and directed by Desiree Akhavan - who also plays Shirin, well, superbly. So, all round superb, in my best Brooklyn accent. (Brett Atkinson)

INTACTO (2002)

Every once in a while a film comes along with a story so intriguing, so mind-bogglingly interesting, that you have to watch it, no matter how well it is told. That's the deal with 'Intacto'. The story concerns a world where luck is as much a commodity as money and like money, it can be won, lost, traded or stolen. The film concentrates on the contests that have been devised over the years, ingeniously conceived for the film, and overseen by the Grand Chancer of them all, played by Max Von Sydow. find out more...
