Liz Lemon, (Tina Fey) is the head writer on a variety series on NBC Studios. With the Jack Donaghy as Vice President of East Coast Television, played by Alec Baldwin, Series four sustains the same standard that has maintained it so far with plenty of exceptional moments. The characters are still all hugely dysfunctional and written with enormous affection and comic effect. The situations beautifully constructed. A frustrated, highly strung, spectacularly unsuccessful puppeteer inadvertently finds a passage way into the mind of John Malkovich and, uniquely skilled as he is in the art of manipulation, this seems like the perfect opportunity to escape his dead-end life and dull wife. Based on Jane Austen's Emma, but set in Beverly Hills and updated to include such essentials as mobile phones, plastic surgeons and endless shopping. 15-years-old Cher is gorgeous, popular, rich and utterly clueless. A brilliant mixture of high school satire and feel-good froth.
