The inimitable Sellers in the second of the Pink Panther farces. Although the overall standard is high, it would be worth watching just to see Clouseau impersonating a dentist with a wax nose, or to see him get the girl in the end without even taking his socks off.

A dead (murdered?) stranger is found in the woods near a Vermont village and various villagers can think of good reasons for his death to be kept secret from the authorities and, by force of circumstances, end up burying and continually re-burying the same body. Who really did it? A thriller with a comic bent, featuring an early performance by Shirley Maclaine, and one of Hitchcock's first true comedies. Not his greatest movie, but certainly one of his better.
