Take Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol', substitute Scrooge with a loathsome lothario, have him visited by a couple of his ex-girlfriends to show him what a jerk he was, and still is, and hope he'll grow up into a decent loving human being. That's it really. find out more...

Scriptwriter Richard Curtis and Hugh Grant team up once again to make a romantic comedy about a floppy haired English gent who falls in love with an American. Sound familiar? While it isn't a sequel to 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' it is the same formula repackaged. Julia Roberts stretches her acting ability not a jot by playing a top Hollywood actress, who spends her spare time browsing in travel bookshops. Hugh bumps into her and stumbles over his words, bumbles around in that annoyingly typec find out more...

Sara is happily married to her wealthy rancher husband, he on the other hand has just served her with divorce papers, and the unwitting conduit for this unscrupulous action is Joe Tyler. Sara being gorgeous and Joe being disgruntled but open to persuasion means that before long the two have become a team and are heading down south to reverse the tables on Sara's dodgy hub. Now in their 40s and 50s (eek how time flies!) and full of self-pity, Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha take time off from their ever so daunting life problems for a quick trip to Abu Dhabi, where they blatantly fart in the face of local values.
Not exactly an advert for feminism, but many of you fans of the series and the first film will want to see what happened next. find out more...

Nothing exactly original or meaningful in the plot, and even from reading the back cover most people will guess the outcome. However, it does rise above the usual dross by attempting with some success to develop three-dimensional characters. The result is an entertaining and charming romance that entertains without find out more...

An ambitious young New York book editor (female) meets 50+ literary giant (male) with a past and leaps into his bed and apartment. It's not a fairytale romance, but can it work? You'd better watch to find out.... find out more...

Seth Rogen and James Franco made a stupid movie about North Korea because no one stopped them. With the assistance of Lizzy Caplan (who is occasionally funny) the duo journey to North Korea to kill Kim Jong-Un. It's not even really that it's an offensive film - though it may offend some - it's more that it's just a really bad film. And by that I meant boring, sloppy and not at all entertaining. But there are at least some rather good 'James Franco is a twatty TV show host' style scenes.

It's a world where everyone not only always tells the truth but share their internal thoughts to, and in Ricky Gervais' world' that means they're either battery farm docile or they share every mean-spirited, self-righteous, mealy-mouthed thought that enters their self-absorbed mind. Mark Bellison is short, fat, unpopular and unsuccessful; a genetic/social combination that means he won't ever get to first base with Anna, the beautiful but vacuous woman that he loves, Anna.
