A large metal suitcase becomes the focus of a disparate mixture of individuals, ranging from Russian arms dealers and Chicago hit men too divorced dads, dysfunctional policemen, corn chip obsessed hippies and cynical teens. Big trouble is from the same director as Get Shorty and stylistically the two films share much in common, but though still entertaining this lacks the class and wit of Sonnenfields earlier work.
