BLOOD FOR DRACULA (1974)
Certification18 Our Rating
The funniest, sexiest and most stylish Dracula film ever! Made by Andy Warhol's sidekick, Blood for Dracula follows the tortured, vegetarian Count as he and his menacing manservant set forth for Italy in the early 19th century, complete with coffin on roof-rack, searching for juicy Catholic virgins. Visually stunning and deliciously deadpan.

BLUE VELVET (1986)
Certification18 Our Rating
It's sick, it's weird, it's spooky, but it's compulsive viewing. Forget Brat Packs and Rambo, this is the dark side to America. Beneath the squeaky clean surface lurk neuroses and perversions, degradation and despair. Brilliantly done, this film will haunt you.

CATCH-22 (1970)
Certification15 Our Rating
Adapted from the classic, absurdist, anti-war novel by Joseph Heller. "Catch-22" is the story of Yossarian, a pilot who trys to opt out of flying bombing missions by being declared insane, the catch being that anyone trying to avoid bombing missions by being insane must be sane. This dark classic catches much of the flavour of the book, the insanity, the corruption and the absurdity of war. Think MASH, but non-linear - flawed but awesome.

RUMBLE FISH (1983)
Certification18 Our Rating
A visually brilliant film about teenage gangs in America's urban wasteland. The leader of a small dying gang, Rusty James, lives in the shadow of the memory of his absent, older brother - The Motorcycle Boy. His mother has left, his father drinks, school has no meaning for him and his relationships are shallow. One of Coppola's two adaptations of S E Hinton novels, 'The Outsiders' being the other. A great performance from Dillon and an awesome soundtrack.

THE NIGHT PORTER (1973)

An ex-SS officer, now a hotel porter, meets by chance a young woman who was previously his prisoner in a concentration camp. Unwillingly drawn together again they resume their sado-masochistic relationship. A compelling, though morally ambiguous, study in dominance and submission.
