A succesful photograper in swinging sixties London leads an aimless existence. Then one day he apparently witnesses a murder in the park. A slow moving thriller, Antonioni's film is also a meditation on the relationship of film to reality and the relationship of the individual to society.

PEEPING TOM (1959)
Certification18 Our Rating
Critically maligned on its release, this tale of a twisted lens-man who lures unsuspecting female victims to their grisly death is an interesting study in the voyeuristic implications of cinema. Sly, resourceful, but trapped, Keiko comes to embody the conflicts and struggles of a woman trying to establish her independence in a male-dominated society. A profoundly moving masterpiece.
