ARMORED (2009)

Certification12 Our Rating

Financially stricken Iraq War veteran Ty takes a job as a security guard and is coerced into robbing an armoured vehicle, a heist that goes tragically wrong. This is in solid B-movie territory but has a fine cast of yesteryear's thesps and is unashamed of its genre. 'Armourer' is no Reservoir Dogs but it's a decent watchable heist movie. find out more...

Wise-cracking, super slick jewel thief Miles gets caught during a hi-tec robbery, stashing his loot in an empty building he returns two years later to find it has become the new police headquarters. Passing himself off as a cop in order to gain entry, he finds his previous career along with his complete lack of respect for law and order makes him a rather successful detective. An enjoyable, 'does what it says on the label', action-comedy. find out more...

Keeping it modern, but taking the man with more lives than an over-subscribed cattery back to his beginnings, we follow the suave thug-in-a-suit as he earns his ‘00' licence to kill status. This Bond is one mean hard-arsed mother and it's nice to see him played by an actor who looks like he can genuinely run without a group of nervous paramedics circling just out of camera shot. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, it's brooding, brutal, dark and replete with some great action sequences, but, as my find out more...
CHAOS (2005)

After a deadly bank heist, 2 Seattle detectives are drawn into a mysterious case where nothing is what it seems. Pulling the strings is a criminal mastermind who seems to kill without warning or reason. "Chaos" is a super twisty thriller and, though I eventually lost my grip on the plot, as an action movie it works pretty well. find out more...

Lucy Fife Donaldson says: "Mark Wahlberg is pulled back into the smuggling business when his brother-in-law falls foul of a no-good gang, run by Giovanni Ribisi (who looks and sounds the meanest he has yet). What follows is a fairly standard, but no less fun for it, caper of heist plans and double (double) crosses that goes to Panama and back. If you can’t fall for the easy charm of Wahlberg, not to mention the wiry charisma of Ribisi and Ben Foster, then this is unlikely to be of much find out more...

CRUELLA (2021)

(Written by Ben Travis for Empire Online)
After experiencing tragedy at a young age, the reckless and creative Estella (Emma Stone) falls into a life of crime in 1970s London — until she has the chance to live out her dreams of becoming a designer under the tutelage of fearsome fashion legend The Baroness (Emma Thompson). In the original, animated 101 Dalmatians, there was nothing black-and-white about Cruella de Vil. As her name less implied, more flat-out screamed, she was a Disn find out more...

DJANGO (1965)

One of the finest Spaghetti's in the west! Banned for 25 years, it has lost nothing of its hard-edged impact. The gringos are bad and the law are worse! The hero, Django, dispenses justice from a smoking Gatling gun, and sounds like a dubbed Clint Eastwood. Absolutely superb! find out more...
