US teen heart-throb Johnny Depp plays Wade "Cry-Baby" Walker, the coolest dude in school and the baddest boy in Baltimore. Rich, prim, new girl Alison thinks he's a dream, her grandmother thinks he's a nightmare. An even weirder cast than 'Hairspray' in this quirky, offbeat musical extravaganza that's got a touch of traditional John Waters shock stuff, but is predominately a parody of both 50s teen rebellion and 50s teen musical flicks. Its reputation has grown hugely with time.

Tony is an uneducated Brooklyn teenager. The highlight of his week is going to the local disco, where he is the king of the dancefloor. Tony meets Stephanie at the disco and they agree to dance together in a competition. A disco movie for people who don't go to discos, this is really about Growing Up - which the movie interprets as Growing Out of a Disco Mentality and into Personal Relationships. STINGRAY SAM (2009)

"Stingray Sam is not a hero / But he does do the things that folks don't do that need to be done / He's got a bravery inside / That will not let him run away..." So goes the theme song to McAbee's bewitching second feature. The film plays like a homage to a 1950's that didn't exist, a riff on all the genres made famous by that decade. Consisting of six 'episodes' (each one narrated by a jubilant David Hyde Pierce) the film follows the eponymous Stingray Sam and his sidekick The Quasar Kid as the

SUSPIRIA (1976)

A young girl turns up at her new ballet school only to undergo a series of experiences not in the normal choreographer's manual. Extraordinarily grotesque murders pile up as Argento happily abandons plot mechanics to provide a superb display of his technical skill with an eye for the bizarre and for vulgar over-decoration. The most gothic movie ever made, stylish, tongue in cheek, over the top and it still manages to scare you! Watch it!

WILD STYLE (1982)
Certification15 Our Rating
The original hip-hop movie and the first to portray MCing, turntablism, graffiti and break dancing; the ultimate rapper's delight, which spawned countless inferior copycats. Set in the mean streets of early '80s New York, the movie ostensibly follows graffiti artist Zoro (Lee Quinones) as he artfully avoids arrest, but really it's all a damn good excuse for a storming soundtrack featuring the cream of Old Skool legends including Grandmaster Flash, The Rocksteady Crew, Double Trouble and Cold Cru
