Jack's back after an unholy union of ‘friends' and rogues save him from Davey Jones' locker. In this final instalment the pirates must form an unlikely brotherhood to defend their carefree existence from the dastardly and ruthless British. Unfortunately for us this means a whole wad of Keira Knightley, she even gives a rousing speech to the rabble before battle, a delivery that brings to mind one of those handbag dogs being garrotted by its own collar. Captain Jack Sparrow once again manages to drag all those who owe him nothing into a race against time to save his worthless, but charming, soul. On this occasion it's the infamous Davy Jones who has dibs on the master of the ‘Black Pearl', and only if Jack can steal the fabled dead man's chest might he escape his grim fate. A modern retelling of Willy Shaker’s magical tale of revenge that casts Helen Mirren as the sorcerer ‘Prospera’. Found it a bit dull to be honest but should do nicely when it inevitably crops up as a set text.
