Based on the book by Andre Dubus, House Of Sand And Fog is a haunting and powerful meditation on how the dreams of one individual can unknowingly signal the end of hope for another. When an Iranian immigrant takes possession of a house, bought cheaply at an auction, for himself and his family he is unaware that the previous owner was forced out of her home and is now close to destitution.
