For those of you not in the know this is a brilliant satire on a bunch of totally cynical New Labour twats, incompetent elected officials and a bunch of muddling bureaucrats. Capaldi is superb, as the PM's foul mouthed attack dog enforcer (Alistair Campbell), as our politicians conspire with both hawks and doves in Washington in the fumbling build-up to a major war to grab oil in the Middle East.

Bulcsu is one of a team of oddball ticket inspectors on Budapest's labyrinth underground system and he literally sleeps, drinks and eats in this world, only when he meets a girl in a mouse's uniform is he offered some form of escape from this alienated existence. Excellent courtroom comedy starring Joe Pesci as an offbeat just-qualified lawyer, dispatched to the Deep South to defend his young cousin (and friend) from a bogus murder charge. Pesci is superb, as is Marisa Tomei, his nasal New York fiancee who's sassy performance peps up the whole thing and won her an Oscar for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

A brilliant film the by same director as 'Abigail's Party'. Keith Pratt is the last of the Boy Scouts and with his equally ridiculous wife Candice Marie, they set out on the wilds of a Dorset campsite for their hols, but their health food and knitted way of life don't quite fit in. Darkly funny and eminently quotable, it's a home grown joy of unparalleled quality.

Ulysses, Delmar and Pete have just escaped a chain gang and are high tailing it across the country to recover a fortune in hidden treasure. A 'Leatherface' type murderer who wears other people's faces, kills at an all-night horror-thon at an old theatre put on by a bunch of film students.
