Bill and Ted look like they're going to fail their exams but luck is at hand as they get a real-life history lesson in a public phone-box, meeting (among others) Genghis Khan, Napoleon, Beethoven and Socrates. A wacky cult film. find out more...

The man that brought you the funny but stomach-churning 'Bad Taste' and the epic 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy made another film of gross proportions! Lionel lives with his nagging mother, but when she is bitten by a vicious Sumatran Rat monkey, she degenerates into a flesh eating zombie who has to be kept in the cellar. A slapstick comedy with blood and guts instead of custard pies. Horrific fun. find out more...

Perennial loser Stephen hasn't left his flat for months and it is there that he hilariously relives a disastrous trek that he took round Europe the previous year with his alter ego Bunny. A surreal very British comedy from the team who brought you 'Mighty Boosh' and 'Garth Marenghi's Darkplace'. find out more...

From the boys that brought us South Park and Team America comes a riotous musical horror that tells the story of Alferd Packer, a prospector who leads a group of fellow 'diggers' into the Rocky Mountains in search of gold only to be accused of murder and cannibalism when the bodies of his companions are discovered partially eaten and mutilated. A tale of comradeship, evil 'trappers' ('Rip their fur, cut their eyes out with my knife. Yo-ho'), Native Indians with a distinctly Japanese flavour and find out more...
CAR WASH (1976)

CertificationPG Our Rating

The definitive '70s disco movie, interweaving the trials and tribulations of employees and customers during 24 hours at an LA carwash. A stomping soundtrack, fascinating storylines and a hilarious cameo by Richard Prior combine to make this an unforgettable and hugely enjoyable cult classic. find out more...
CATCH-22 (1970)

Certification15 Our Rating

Adapted from the classic, absurdist, anti-war novel by Joseph Heller. "Catch-22" is the story of Yossarian, a pilot who trys to opt out of flying bombing missions by being declared insane, the catch being that anyone trying to avoid bombing missions by being insane must be sane. This dark classic catches much of the flavour of the book, the insanity, the corruption and the absurdity of war. Think MASH, but non-linear - flawed but awesome. find out more...

This black comedy directed by John Waters is one of the best films around. When renegade filmmaker Cecil B. Demented vows to "punish bad cinema" his plans include a group of generally weird and freaky film buffs called the Sprocket Holes, who each have a tattoo of a different indie filmmaker, led by the radiant Alicia Witt, Demented's sometime-lover. Demented and his crew kidnap Hollywood's sweetheart Honey Whitlock and force her to perform in their rebel film and she slowly becomes "Demented F find out more...

The follow on from the amazingly funny stoner flick "Up In Smoke" - more anarchic adventures with the two stonedest space-cadets in the world. I shan't bother to try and tell you what it's all about, just get high and enjoy it. find out more...

More famous faces than you can shake a stick at get together over a fag and a mug of coffee, to discuss the many joys of, well… a fine cupper and a good drag. Jim Jarmusch started filming these short comic vignettes over ten years ago and has created a deliciously off kilter observation of life's little pleasures. Worth watching for Iggy Pop and Tom Waits chat alone, and I say this regardless of my own hopeless weakness for the rolled leaf and the dark bean. find out more...
CRY-BABY (1990)

Certification15 Our Rating

US teen heart-throb Johnny Depp plays Wade "Cry-Baby" Walker, the coolest dude in school and the baddest boy in Baltimore. Rich, prim, new girl Alison thinks he's a dream, her grandmother thinks he's a nightmare. An even weirder cast than 'Hairspray' in this quirky, offbeat musical extravaganza that's got a touch of traditional John Waters shock stuff, but is predominately a parody of both 50s teen rebellion and 50s teen musical flicks. Its reputation has grown hugely with time. find out more...
